In the Studio: April 24, 2012

This fishing rod just appeared in the studio yesterday. Tom brought it in and propped it up against the wall and didn’t say much until I asked him about it. Until yesterday it belonged to Harvey Tapley, Tom’s grandad, who got it from his father Leonard.  They lived between Lake Martin and the Tallapoosa River in Alabama. Harvey, like Leonard before him, used this rod to feed the Tapley family for the better part of 100 years.

Today’s Tip: Guitar pedals aren’t just for guitars anymore! Use ’em to send your entire two-mix through. Sounds crazy but it totally works.

Until next time, friends…
